As the result of a criminal trial that was delayed in September 2021 when Irmgard Furchner went on the run, she was later given a two-year suspended sentence for aiding and abetting the murder of 10, 505 people and the attempted murder of five people.
The essential Nuremberg principle: “No medical procedure shall be given to anyone without their fully informed, non-coerced consent.”
Many object to the current application of the Nuremberg punishments on two theories: the Nuremberg trials were way back at the end of World War II (1940s) or “we shouldn’t punish people for doing what they were told to do.” The recent conviction of Irmgard Furchner gives lie to both.
