“Lea’s burner phone rang; “someone’s onto where you are. I’ve had someone trying to watch you and he saw some old woman go into your hotel room in Scranton where you and your daughter were sleeping…” The voice continued but Lea had stuffed into her pocket and was already on her feet, jacking a round into her Beretta and pushing open the door between the two rooms. She screamed: “Buddy and Tariq! Get in here immediately!” The “babysitter” had grabbed Clara around the neck and was dragging her toward the suite’s door. Clara had bitten deeply into her forearm and was growling fiercely. The old woman kept trying to drag Clara toward the door while the little girl refused to stop biting her. Her captor gritted her teeth and kept demanding that Clara stop. But Clara refused and soon blood was dripping from the woman’s arm.
Lea ran up to the woman holding Clara and put her pistol to the woman’s right temple. “Freeze or I’ll blow your brains out. Release my daughter!” The Governor and Tariq ran to her side. ”
